It's the first of its kind in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. It has been such an honor to work with editors Dr. Srivastava and Dr. Tewari, and all the contributing authors on this book!

 

Motherhood: A Guide to Surviving the First 30 Days. By Dr. Manisha Panchal and Ulash Thakore-Dunlap. Edited by Lisa Jancarik. This book is written with first time mothers in mind and covers parenting basics to help take care of your newborn in the first 30 days of your baby’s life.

I was invited with Dr. Atwal to write an article for The Bench: The Official Journal of California Judges Association. The article was published in the Spring 2024 issue on Managing and Preventing Work Burnout for Judges.

 

I was invited to write a chapter in the book titled Asian American Identities, Relationships, and Post-Migration Legacies. Reflections from Marriage and Family Therapists with Bowbay Feng on therapy as activism.

 

Ulash Thakore-Dunlap in collaboration with colleagues in the Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA), Dr. Sumie Okazaki, Dr. Cixin Wang and Dr. Munyi Shea, received the American Psychological Association (APA) Public Interest Leadership Conference Health Equity Dissemination Award to create guidelines for school professionals and parents on bullying and victimization for Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) K-12 students. Published in January 2020, resources will also be distributed by the APA Safe and Supportive Schools Project Program. The resources are available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean.
